The office look can be restrictive in playing with colors and letting out your inner fashionista. Depending on your career, it comes with a dress code that you have to adhere and in most cases this look is usually plain and dull. The office is a place for work and not play after all. Here are simple ways for you to spice up the office look without looking overdone.
These include the use of jewelry to add pop to your attire. Pearls are usually a perfect choice when it comes to the office because of the touch of sophistication they bring to an outfit.
Other accessories like the bag you carry can go a long way in adding color to your outfit. Go for bold colors like red, green, orange. Make sure however that the color you choose goes with the outfit. This can be incorporated with belts, ear rings to name a few.
Go for bold choices when you’re choosing the shoes. Shoes can add personality to the outfit. Don’t scare from experimenting with prints and latest collection of shoes. The high heels come in different variables that fit comfortably into the office.
Don’t shy from experimenting with color but make sure you don’t go for one that is completely off. For example, it would be insane to see a lawyer in orange you agree? Safe colors include blue (which comes with different color tonnes that allow you to experiment even further), green and maroon. If you want to try orange go with the darker shades of orange, the one that almost resembles brown. Brown is also a perfect fit. Its important to note that the plainer the outfit the easier it is to style and accessorize.
Use of African fabric in the work place is a simpler way to add style in your attire. It gives you freedom to play with colors and design. You can use the ankara as one piece your outfit for example in jackets and coats, skirts or trousers. This gives the outfit a bit of edge but allows you to add another color to neutralize the overall look.
Incorporate nudes in your office wear, it’s easy to style and wear and also fits perfectly into the work place. This is because its not dull or bright and it gets to flaunt your body. The different shades that come with the nude look also allow you to experiment and figure out what works for you. Nude shoes also elongate the legs and enriches their color.
Patterns and Designs.
Various patterns and design are office friendly and easy to put together, Patterns like stripes, animal prints and the polka dot add detail to an otherwise dull outfit. These can be worn either on the outfit or on the accessories, and can also be used to pull off a casual look if there exists some AOB after hours. Other designs like the peplum, use of bows in skirts and shirts also add a bit of mystery and style to an outfit.
