Bloggers Association of Kenya will hold a two hour Digital skills training workshop on the 17th of February from 9.00am at ONGEA! The talk will give upcoming and famous social media users hands on knowledge regarding, social media ethics, understanding Copyright and fair use, do’s and dont’s of blogging and social media, use of social media to market ones brand and basics of  social media.

ONGEA is an annual music summit organized by PHAT Music and Entertainment and takes place in Nairobi. The event, previously known as KENYA Music week aims at bolstering the Music Industry to broaden its scope while maintaining its three pillars: Trade, Learn and Showcase.

The platform will offer visitors a chance to meet Industry Professionals, at fifty-seven (57) Trade Exhibition stands, over those four Days; including Artists, Associations, Bands, Booking Agents, Collective Management Organisations, Digital Distributors, Educational Institutions, Media Houses, Record Labels, Regulators, Technical Suppliers & more, from Cameroon, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.

In addition, business deals will be made in the Networking Lounge, courtesy of Extra Dimensions. There is also Studio Transparent, run by PHAT! Intellectual Property, where anyone can Record their Demo, with Artville Music, for Free!

At the summit there will be Open Mic for upcoming Musicians; with Auditions for Sauti Academy on Saturday and Sunday, where two fully paid 1-year Scholarships are up for grabs. This is followed by two Industry Panels per Day, at 2.30pm-4.00pm and 4.00pm-5.30pm, where the Thought Leaders of the Eastern Africa Music Industry shall discuss Broadcast, Digital Distribution, Festival Bookings, Live Sound, Monetising Compositions, Music & Culture, Music Education, and Rights Compliance.

Musicians from other parts of the continent will also showcase their art every night.
