Safaricom will host its final edition of this year’s BLAZE Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) youth summits this weekend at Uhuru Gardens on Saturday,16th December, 2017.

A key highlight of the forum will be the national auditions for the BLAZE BYOB show, the highly successful reality show that feature young entrepreneurs. Auditions will take place on Friday, a day before the summit, at University of Nairobi main campus.

“The first season of BLAZE which kicked off last year was fantastic. We are even happier to see the increased number of Blazers who have benefited from the mentorship summits and boot camps. It’s been a great learning experience and we look forward to the new and exciting twist of Season 2 of the TV show,” said Sylvia Mulinge, Director – Consumer Business, Safaricom.

Over 36,000 young people have so far attended the preceding creation camp and summits which took place in Eldoret, Meru, Nakuru, Machakos and Mombasa. Nairobi will host the last summit in this year’s series.

Some of the mentors at the Nairobi summit include; Nick Ondu – Fashion Blogger, Enos Olik- Video Director, Tosh Gitonga – Film Director, Jibril Blessing-Producer and videographer, Njugush- Comedian and actor, Abel Mutua- content developer, Wycliffe Waweru- entrepreneur and bicycle manufacturer, Caleb Karuga – Agripreneur as well as Bryan Wanyama of Matwana Matatu Culture.
