Tusker Mattresses has been voted among Kenya’s Top Superbrands in the 2019/20, Volume 6 edition, results published by Superbrands East Africa and derived entirely from a comprehensive survey to Kenyan consumers undertaken by Kantar TNS. The consumers’ insights and results were derived based on Superbrands’ globally used parameters of the three pillars of quality, reliability and distinctiveness.
Superbrands is the world’s largest independent arbiter of branding. It identifies and pays tribute to exceptional brands by recognizing, rewarding, and reinforcing leading brands from all over the world.
Mr. Jawad Jaffer, Superbrands East Africa Project Director notes that convenience and convergence of services have become a determining factor in how consumers interact with brands. He notes that consumers are increasingly becoming more demanding which has led to growth in demand for home grown quality products and services.
“As markets and brands evolve, consumer preferences play a more prominent role. With this 6th edition, we felt it was more important to give the consumers the power to decide which brands best resonated with them and play a crucial role in their everyday lives. It was clear from the results that products and services with strong brand awareness and affinity are increasingly becoming the preferred option for Kenyans, “said Jaffer, during the certificate presentations. Superbrands East Africa noted that according to the consumers surveyed, Tuskys met the above qualities and was thus voted as a top 10 Superbrands in Kenya.

Superbrands East Africa aims to identify those brands that are performing above and beyond others within the market. Qualified and participating brands receive the Superbrands Awards seal which can be used to symbolize their Superbrands status on their advertising and marketing materials.

Research by Nielsen, Synovate, TNS, BDRC and other international research companies have found that consumers are much more likely to purchase products or services displaying the ‘Superbrands Award Seal.’
According to Jaffer, Superbrands status strengthens a brand’s position, adds prestige and differentiates the brand from its competitors.
