Night lights is a photography project started by Kenyan Story and its main aim is to showcase the beautiful streets in Nairobi that photographers and other photography enthusiasts can visit in order to feed their quest. I will be sharing more night street portraits under the same project name. According to public opinion, it’s hard to walk in Nairobi at night since the roads are dangerous and street kids attack anybody who come their way…well, that’s wrong.

Not all the streets are dangerous. Some of them are very quiet and beautiful at night. And the street kids are always ready to help photographers with the best locations that have wonderful lights. Even the watchmen are very helpful at night. When I was shooting this project, a watchman from Pension Towers became my assistant and he showed us some of the places to shoot which I will definitely visit in my next project. FYI: Don’t go to shoot alone (Nairobi is unpredictable)
